The Silton Singers is an enthusiastic, friendly choir of approximately 45 members which rehearses in Gillingham, Dorset and gives concerts in the surrounding area. We are an SATB choir and welcome singers of all ages and abilities - some of us are able to read music, while others are not. The primary aim of the choir is to foster in all members, and in our audiences, a love of choral music. The day of the concert is only one part of this experience - coming together at weekly rehearsals in pursuit of a common goal creates a real sense of community that our members value very highly.

The choir rehearses weekly from September-December and January-early May on Monday evenings in Gillingham Methodist Church, Gillingham, Dorset. We commonly put on three major concerts per year - one in October/November, one in December and one in March/April. In addition to these, we always take part in the Stourhead Festival of the Voice in early May.
