took place on Saturday 6th May 2006, the final event of the choir year. The choir performed a number of Shakespeare Songs by Harris, Wood and McFarren.
On 11th (Church of Ss. Simon and Jude, Milton on Stour) and 12th April (Gillingham Methodist Church) 2006, Silton Singers performed
(Una Moore, organ; Lawrence Tubb, conductor) with soloists Martin King (bass) and John Willetts (tenor) and accompanied by Bianca Brajuha, Jessica Smith, Clementine Fenton and Elizabeth Bathurst (string quartet).
The concerts were a great success, each appreciated by a good-sized audience, and bore witness to the improvements the choir has made recently.
(Una Moore, organ; Lawrence Tubb, conductor) continued the new tradition of Silton Singers carol concert, combining choral works from throughout the ages, congregational carols and seasonal readings.
(Lawrence Tubb, conductor) was the first of our new mid-term recitals, in which the choir performed settings of Shakespeare texts by Wood, Harris and MacFarren. The Silton Singers were joined on this occasion by soloists Bianca Brajuha, soprano, Marianne Clavell-Bate, guitar, Camilla Foster-Mitchell, soprano, and Allie Hodson, soprano - all from St. Antony's Leweston School.

(Lawrence Tubb, conductor) was the first concert following Lawrence Tubb's appointment as musical director. The programme included favourites of the repertoire such as Elgar's My love dwelt in a Northern land, Stanford's The Bluebird, Wood's Full fathom five and Bishop/Crampton's Home, sweet home. The Silton Singers were joined on this occasion by soloists John Willetts, tenor and Marta Fontanals Simmons (soprano) who performed songs by Vaughan Williams, Dring, Gluck, Head and Rubbra.
